Day 1: Transfer from Kigali International Airport to Your Lodge in Kigali City.
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali International Airport to Your Lodge in Kigali City.

Today is the beginning of our 8-day Rwanda exclusive safari package whereby you will be welcomed by our guide, whom you will find already at the Kigali international airport. He will greet you and give you a brief introduction to what you can expect on this safari. Later, you will drive to Kigali city to your hotel where you will have dinner and an overnight stay. You can stay at Bloom Hotel

Day 2. Kigali City Tour

You will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and get organized before you take on the Kigali city tour, whereby you will visit a lot of the historical and cultural sites in Kigali, including the reconciliation village in Bugesers, the Gisozi memorial site, and end the day with a visit to the Kigali city market, where you will be able to do some shopping before you return to your hotel at Bloom hotel.

In the morning, after breakfast, you will drive to the pastoral village, where you will observe and participate in several tourist activities that are related to cattle grazing. Prepare to build your traditional parka out of the grass, and figure out how to drain it with your own hands because there are no machines here. Following the milking, the pastoralist will show you numerous calabashes used in milk saving and the competence required to create one; this complies with norms of calabash care, consuming milk, and so on. Milk here is used differently, with most people using it for drinking while some ferment it and use it as yogurt in the traditional ways. After that, they will also take you to the tours for the distinguished modeling and paintings which are called the IM-IGONGO, meaning the backs, which were introduced by the traditional Rwandese society under King Kimenyi of the Gisaka kingdom, which is part and partial of the Rwandese kingdom which is found in the eastern province. The place has been made attractive for all the visitors and is good to tour.

Learn traditional skills and tactics for identifying infections and treating them with traditional treatments. Explore the field with traditional healers to discover how the seeds, leaves, barks, roots, and natural products can be used to treat various illnesses by blending or not blending them. Bugs, lianas, lichens, and other organisms play an important role. In the evening, pay a visit to a nearby residence where local ladies share their culinary experiences. Day 5: Drive to Rubavu

Here, you will visit the fishing village of Rubavu, the cemented lake of Nyiragongo Mountain, which erupted in 2002, and finally the natural aquifers. Relax by the seaside and later have an overnight stay at the Parades Marahibi hotel as you wait for the next day's safari activity.

Banana and sorghum are Rwanda’s main foods and these foods are important in a variety of ways. For example, as food, local brew/drinks, and vital in social practices, particularly during our traditional wedding functions, resolving questions between neighborhood individuals, holding connections between various families, and so on. Rwanda has numerous different types of banana plants, and each type of banana plant has unique uses and qualities. Sorghum production is a complicated yet simple process that is exhilarating.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking safari.

You will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast served by professional hotel workers. Make sure that at around half-past seven in the morning, you arrive at the park headquarters to receive the gorilla trekking instructions before you start the journey into the jungle for the endangered mountain gorilla encounter. You can stay in the forest while trekking for about 6 hours, and this will depend on how fast you move when in the wild and the location of the gorilla group that you have been allocated. It is best to request to see the nearby gorilla family since you will be trekking back, and once you have found the gorillas, you will have strictly one hour of interaction, including taking photos, recording small videos, and asking as many questions as you can

Visit the Kabgayi Basilica, the historic king's residence at Nyanza, the National Museum, and Huye, Rwanda's "intellectual town." Return to Kigali for dinner and an overnight stay, as well as souvenir shopping.

Today marks the end of your 9-day Rwanda cultural safari, and it will end with breakfast as you embark on your journey back to Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
