The park is located within the entertainment region of Rwanda, and the nearest city to Akagera National Park is Kibungo, where visitors can be reached by road transport and air transport. This is very interesting. The park is 135 kilometers from Kigali town, which takes about 2-3 hours to travel.
It takes an hour to drive from Kibungo/Rwamagana to the park’s main entrance gate, which is 500 meters from Akagera Game Lodge.
