Jinja is located in the Eastern region of Uganda on the shores of Lake Victoria approximately 80km by road from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. It is a home of the source of the Nile the longest river in the world. Because of the source Jinja has become a leading tourism destination due to the activities that take place such as fishing, kayaking, white water rafting, bungee jumping to mention but a few.
Sipi falls is located in the Eastern region of Uganda, Kapchorwa district in the foothills of mountain Elgon on the edge of Mountain Elgon National Park boarding Kenya. It comprises of 3 waterfalls flowing from different altitude. The name Sipi was derived from the word Sep which is a name of the wild banana that grows along the banks of Sipi river.
The itinerary below will give you and opportunity to do white water rafting, hike Sipi falls and have a coffee tour then on the last day go for a boat ride at Lake Victoria.
After an early breakfast, the driver picks you up at 7.00am from your place of residence to kick off your journey to eastern Uganda. You will drive through Kampala and head eastwards along the Kampala - Jinja highway through the fascinating rain forest Mabira. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.
On arrival you will have breakfast at the briefing point. After you will get briefing by the rafting experts who will be with you at the boat then after board the boat and experience the safety dills taught at the briefing point. You can choose whether you want a crazy raft or a calm one. Either way all is fun. After return to your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast at 7.00am, drive out of Jinja and head further eastwards through Mbale town to Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa District. Upon arrival, relax and meet the guide who will lead you through the hike starting with the top most waterfall descending down to the foothill of Mountain Elgon. This hike takes 4 hours, depending on one’s ability. You can opt to hike two waterfalls in case you’re tied. The hike also takes us through the coffee plantation. After the hike, transfer to any accommodation near the waterfalls for lunch. After lunch drive back to Jinja, check into your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, head out for an hour boat ride on Lake Victoria to the Source of the Nile, return to the lodge for a short break, check out and transfer to Kampala.
