This is the middle-range hotel that is near the medley of wonders that is Queen Elizabeth National Park. Even visitors who have or are traveling on a budget can still use this as their accommodation facility.
Because it is strategically located on the hill, you will have clear views of the lake, Gorge, Edward, and Kazinga channel while staying at this fantastic accommodation facility. This is an eco-lodge that was constructed using local safari materials from the surrounding area, and it is enclosed by the natural vegetation that makes it so unique.
While at Marafiki Lodge, the sun rises from behind the hazy silhouette of the Kyambura Gorge, which lies on Lake George’s farthest shoreline, at Marafiki. From the comfort of your luxury safari tent, you will be greeted by a truly wonderful African morning as the Savannah Plains become animated – with elephants moving quietly across the savannah prairies, birds dashing between the trees, sounding the morning chorale, and hippos yawning languidly in the sparkling waters of Lake George.
The design and construction of the main building are comprised of the main restaurant, which services visitors with all kinds of meals they want, whether local or international cuisine, and there are also drinks to your preference. From the restaurant, you can access the bar, which is brimming with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages of all kinds. Visitors enjoy their meals, refreshments, and relaxation at the main structure, which offers stunning views of the recreation area and Mt. Rwenzori.
In terms of the accommodation facilities, the Marafiki lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park features spacious private bandas with elevated wooden flooring made from eucalyptus gum shafts and material, allowing you to move up the dividers and enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and Game Park.
The general layout of the whole lodge was that the cabin was handcrafted from locally sourced materials that are safe for the environment and fitted by local craftsmen. While at the en-suite outdoor shower, you can enjoy a really magical African morning, washing as the sun rises over the lake, then dining under the stars in the twilight before feasting over the pit fire. We have three luxuriously prepared safari tents with park views for the more daring, as well as a rich wood lodge that can accommodate 16 people in four large dorm rooms for the budget explorers.
For visitors staying overnight, breakfast is offered on the cafeteria veranda, offering guests a fresh espresso and a full breakfast of local produce harvested from the ground. After a long day of exploring the recreation area, unwind in the bar and parlor area, where you can take in the breathtaking views while enjoying a light meal and sundowners as the sun sets behind the Ruwenzori Mountains.
The Marafiki Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park is described as having beautiful and comfortable private tents and self-contained cabins.
