To bring down the cost of gorilla trekking in Uganda, visitors need to be informed that they need to pay for the gorilla trekking permit in Uganda in order to get allowed to visit any of the gorilla national parks to see or trek the gorillas. No one can enter the mountain gorilla park without the gorilla trekking permit, which must be obtained well in advance of the day of trekking the gorillas. If you want to go gorilla trekking, you should apply for a gorilla grant, as the cost of the gorilla grant determines the cost of gorilla trekking in Uganda by a large amount. The Gorilla Travel License now costs $700 for out-of-state visitors, $600 for residents of East African countries (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania), and 250,000 UGX for year-round East African citizens. There is no longer any low season or other restrictions, so don’t be fooled or tricked. The gorilla trekking permits are also the gorilla habituation permits, whereby in this case, you will go and be involved in the gorilla habituation experience, where you will spend more time with the endangered mountain gorillas, as opposed to the gorilla trekking, where you will only spend four hours, and the gorilla habituation experience costs USD150 for foreign non-residents, USD1000 for foreign residents, and East African citizens pay USD150.

You also need to consider the cost of the transportation mode from Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Traveling to see gorillas and engage in the gorilla trekking activity in the Bwindi Impenetrable Backwoods public park and Mgahinga public park, and getting there isn’t always easy, either.
