It is about a five-hour drive from Kigali to Nyungwe Forest. After having breakfast, you will be picked up from Nyungwe Forest by our safari guide in the morning. This park is found in southwestern Rwanda. You will be driven towards the southwestern part of the country, in the western province. You will have a stopover at the royal palace and the ethnographic museum on your way and have a guided tour around this museum as you are given history about how they came into existence. After that, you will have en-route lunch here and continue to Nyungwe Forest National Park, where you will have the canopy walk and long forest on top before you drive to your booked lodge. The logging options here include the Emeraudel Hotel and Nyungwe Top View Hill.

Day 3: Visit Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Wake up in the early morning, have a healthy breakfast, and be driven to Nyungwe park headquarters to receive instructions about the Chimpanzee trekking in the forest, which will be given to you by the ranger guide. After the briefing, you will start the journey to encounter the chimpanzees. Your search for chimps takes us on foot into Africa's most established montane timberland. Strolling through this ancient and biodiversity jungle is an unimaginable opportunity to spot chimpanzees and unusual features, birds, plants, and small animals. Nyungwe Forest is home to over 500 chimps, providing excellent opportunities to observe these sociable gorillas as well as 12 other primate species. We will most likely see dark-faced vervet monkeys and l'Hoest's monkeys, with dark-cheeked mangabeys and Rwenzori colobus monkeys also being regularly seen. Along with an abundance of monkeys, the dense tropical forest of Nyungwe is home to more than 60 distinct warm-blooded creatures, a vast number of orchids, more than 120 butterfly species, and more than 300 different bird species. We shall have lunch in the forest, and later you will return to the lodge and spend some of the time within the Nyungwe Forest National Park as you enjoy the captivating features.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, report to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters at around 7 am where you will receive gorilla trekking advice and directions from the aide on gorilla tracking, which is conducted by the park rangers. For your enjoyment, we will do our best to ensure you are healthy and smart for this excursion. Because it gets hot and humid during the day, it's critical to pack good climbing boots, long pants, gloves for protection against stinging brambles, snacks, and plenty of water. You will spend an hour with the gorillas that you will never forget. Return to your hotel later in the evening for lunch and supper, as well as your short-term visit. You can have a wonderful stay on this day if you stay at the Muhabura hotel or any other hotel around Musanze.

Day 6: Tracking Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park
Day 6: Tracking Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park

After having your early morning breakfast, the safari driver guide will pick you up and drive you to the park headquarters to receive instructions regarding golden monkey tracking. These fascinating, colorful monkeys are found in the bamboo woodlands on the lower slants of the slopes, making for a simpler and more confined tour than the previous day. If you prefer to relax rather than travel, you can stay at our convenience and refresh. In any case, brilliant monkey following is an energetically advised and rare natural life experience. Therefore, we urge guests not to miss out on a fantastic occasion. It is good to move with your packed lunch since the golden monkeys are active and may end up taking a long time. After that, you will enter the forest in search of the golden monkeys. You will also spend one hour with them. The golden monkey trek gives you a chance to see other riches in the park, including the volcanoes. After following the beautiful monkeys of Rwanda, we return to the Volcanoes Park central command at Kinigi and then to the Ruhengeri tourist lodge. This evening, we return to Kigali, Rwanda's capital. Staying at a similar inn as before, you are free to relax while admiring the beautiful views of the city. This evening, we share our final meal and reflect on our incredible trip through Rwanda. After that, you will return to the lodge, have your lunch, and now move to Gisheyi, where you will visit the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. You can as well continue to paradise, Malahide, where you will have dinner and spend the night on this day.
