When determining the price of the whole gorilla trekking safari, we need to look at different factors that determine the price, and these include the price of the gorilla trekking permits, the cost of the accommodation facility, and the cost of transportation. These are the major factors that each traveler should look at when planning to trek the gorillas in Uganda. Remember that the gorillas in Uganda are found in both Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and this is a very wonderful safari experience for you to engage in this wonderful safari activity. We have designed different gorilla trekking packages which, among others, include the 3 day gorilla trekking safaris, among others
To bring down the cost of gorilla trekking in Uganda, visitors need to be informed that they need to pay for the gorilla trekking permit in Uganda in order to get allowed to visit any of the gorilla national parks to see or trek the gorillas. No one can enter the mountain gorilla park without the gorilla trekking permit, which must be obtained well in advance of the day of trekking the gorillas. If you want to go gorilla trekking, you should apply for a gorilla grant, as the cost of the gorilla grant determines the cost of gorilla trekking in Uganda by a large amount. The Gorilla Travel License now costs $700 for out-of-state visitors, $600 for residents of East African countries (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania), and 250,000 UGX for year-round East African citizens. There is no longer any low season or other restrictions, so don’t be fooled or tricked. The gorilla trekking permits are also the gorilla habituation permits, whereby in this case, you will go and be involved in the gorilla habituation experience, where you will spend more time with the endangered mountain gorillas, as opposed to the gorilla trekking, where you will only spend four hours, and the gorilla habituation experience costs USD150 for foreign non-residents, USD1000 for foreign residents, and East African citizens pay USD150.
You also need to consider the cost of the transportation mode from Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Traveling to see gorillas and engage in the gorilla trekking activity in the Bwindi Impenetrable Backwoods public park and Mgahinga public park, and getting there isn’t always easy, either. The longer parts of the trip are normally calm on landing area streets, but you’ll almost certainly need a 4×4 vehicle to get to the parks, and that’s simply the tip of the iceberg in terms of where your Gorilla adventure begins.
Lastly, you need to consider the cost of the lodge or the accommodation facility. Uganda features a number of lodges, hotels, and camps in and around the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorillas National Park, and these lodges are divided into three categories. Budget hotels, mid-range hotels, and luxury hotels are all viable options, depending on your budget. When sharing, gorilla safari lodges charge between $50 and $75 per person, while mid-range gorilla safari lodges charge between $80 and $120 per person, and luxury lodges start at $150 per person.
We have a limited number of acceptable cabins per class in each gorilla travel location of the Bwindi and Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks. What you need to do is contact us at Sunrise for this wonderful adventure safari, which is so much fun and wonderful.
