This 16-day Uganda wildlife safari journey will take you to Uganda’s famous national parks, including Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and where you will see the gorillas and then explore the Batwa cultural experience around the park. Batwa used to live in the forest, but they later relocated, and today they support conservation efforts of the mountain gorillas. You can also come and see how they conserve the gorillas and, where possible, support them. The gorilla trekking experience is the highlight of our 16-day Uganda wildlife safari journey and you will enjoy it. Furthermore, you will explore Lake Bunyonyi during our 16-day Uganda wildlife safari journey. This is rated as the second deepest lake in Africa, found in the Kigezi highlands. You will explore all the 20 islands that are found in this park as you hike the steep slopes featuring the beautiful scenery. Birds here are pretty and attract bird watchers. Our 16-day Uganda wildlife safari journey cannot be complete without you exploring the Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is regarded as the medley of wonders with a lot of tourist attractions, and the safari becomes exciting by taking the night cruise on the Kazinga channel and all the sceneries present on the channel. Today our 16-day Uganda wildlife safari journey begins with the pickup by our safari guide from Entebbe internal airport, who will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel after he has briefly briefed you about the safari. After breakfast, you will embark on the road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which takes approximately 9 hours, making a stopover at the equator for the photo moment and then continue with the safari journey to make another stop in Mbarara City at the Igongo Cultural Center, where you will have lunch, and then continue to arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park late in the evening and check into your lodge. Get up early and eat breakfast before being driven to the park headquarters for a briefing by the guide on gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest National Park. you may need to pack lunch because the time spent in the forest is not known as seeing the gorillas depends on their movement and the physical fitness of the people tracking them. It is exciting and thrilling to spend some time with these gorillas. Once you have spotted them, you will be allowed only one hour to interact with them, take photos, and ask any questions you want to know. Please make sure that you do all these while standing at a 7-meter distance. After that, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and, later, go for an evening cultural walk with the local community before returning to the lodge for an overnight stay. After having breakfast, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi, which is one of the most beautiful places and the second deepest lake in Africa. Bunyonyi is a wonderfully exotic getaway location, excellent for adventure and relaxation, with shimmering backwaters and palm-fringed beaches, as well as colorful villages, wildlife, and a tropical landscape. It's also one of the few spots in the country where swimming is safe due to the absence of bilharzia. This journey on the Incredible Uganda Wildlife Scenes Safari takes around 6-7 hours, and you'll eat lunch along the way. Visitors will go here to enjoy a canoe boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi and a hike through the surrounding hills. The landscape is interesting and it is made of steep slopes that are covered with lush vegetation, making the experience that much more interesting. Bunyonyi is known as the place for the birds, and it rewards visitors with a view of many of the birds, which can also be seen during canoeing on the lake Bunyonyi. You can hike to the highest point of the hills and enjoy the scenic views, and after that, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will arrive in the evening to check into your lodge. You will wake up in the morning, have breakfast, and later drive to the game drive safari in Kasenyi, where you will be able to see the lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, topis, waterbucks, and the giant forest hogs. After this game drive safari, you will later go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, where you will see all of the hippos and see alloy of the animals as they see you, and this offers the visitors a great safari experience and great reading opportunities. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. After breakfast in the morning, you will embark on a four-hour drive to Kibale Forest National Park as you pass through the famous mountains of the moon, the crater lakes, and then Fortportal City. You will then later drive to the launch to continue to the Kibale Forest National Park where you can see a lot of rare bird species and uncommon plants with incredible bird species such as the little Bulbul, Great Blue Turaco, Ruwenzori Turaco, and then Narina Trogon. Lodging options may include chimpanzee forest guest house; Ruwenzori travelers; Ndali Lodge; Kyaninga, with meals served on a full board basis.
Have breakfast early in the morning and later drive to the park headquarters for breakfast. You should arrive at around 8 am to give you the rules for trekking chimpanzees while walking within the forest. You will last for approximately one and a half days as you trek to the gorillas. As you are moving and watching side by side in the forest, you will be able to see other primates such as the red-colobus and the blue-tailed monkeys, as well as the cheeked mongabeys, which can be seen hiking through and jumping from one tree to another. To ensure that the trip is not only entertaining but also educational, your guide will provide you with fascinating briefings on the lifestyles of the monkeys you will encounter, as well as on the flora, insects, and butterflies found in this forest. In the afternoon, you will go on a guided nature walk at the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The sanctuary provides excellent birding and natural trails. The journey to Murchison Falls National Park will begin around 8 a.m. after breakfast, and the safari is a lot of fun as you move through the countryside, which is scattered with traditional homesteads and farms and offers incredible scenery. You will have an en-route stopover in Masindi before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will arrive late in the evening. The booked lodges will include the Fort Murchison, Paraa Safari Lodge, and Murchison River Lodge, among others.
Early in the Murchison falls National Park, a game drive was conducted. Park starts early in the morning after breakfast with incredible sightings of the different animals such as the giraffes, buffaloes, lions, shy sitatunga, hartebeest, bush duiker, Uganda kob, leopards, lions, hyenas, and primates such as the chimpanzees, the olive baboons, among others. Along the Nile's banks, you'll see crocodiles and hippos. The goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbills, cormorants, saddle-bill storks, and the uncommon shoebill stork are some of the more common birds that can be spotted. You'll return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some rest before departing in the afternoon for an upstream boat tour to the base of the falls on the Victoria Nile. You'll see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, and a variety of birds, including the uncommon shoebill stork, along the way. The boat comes to a halt just a few meters from the "Devil's Cauldron" so that photos of the stunning and majestic Murchison Falls can be shot. You will have an early breakfast served by your lodge and then checkout for the safari journey to Kampala, passing through the Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will get an opportunity to see the rhinos. Rhinos were reintroduced in Uganda and it is only here where they can be found. You will spend approximately 2 hours tracking rhinos before arriving in Kampala for your booked lodge at Serena hotel, acardia cottages, Emin Pasha Hotel, or Speke Resort Hotel, with meals served on a full board basis.
From Toady you will depart early in the morning for Jinja, where we will explore the Nile's source and participate in some of the daring sports available, such as white-water rafting, jet boating, horseback riding, mountain biking, quad biking, and bungee jumping. Have a layover at the Equator on your way to this part of the Incredible Uganda Wildlife Scenes Safari, where you will be able to stand in two hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. You will arrive late in the afternoon and relax at the hotel where you have made your reservation for dinner and overnight. Breakfast is served in the morning, followed by a rush to the Nile's white-water rapids. The rafting will start on the river Nile, and this will be done after a clear briefing and you should get the rafting gear fit. You will raft for about eighteen kilometers, and you will need no experience to do this. You will participate in different rapids and keep going for the challenging grades. 8 major rapids will make you enjoy the clear safaris with high levels of adrenaline, which makes it so much more interesting. After this safari, you will return to your lodge. Following breakfast, you will be transported to the Lake Victoria pier to board a boat to Ngamba Island. One hour will be spent on the boat. You will arrive at the chimp sanctuary and receive a briefing about the sanctuary before spending time with the chimps as they feed, relax, and perform acrobatic swings in the tree branches. Later, you'll go on a nature walk with the baby chimps on the island. Spend the night on the island after your incredible Uganda Wildlife Scenes Safari supper.
After having breakfast, you will go for the forest walk safari with the chimpanzees early in the morning. The chimpanzees will climb on you, yank your hair, or walk hand in hand with you, making for an intriguing walk. It's fantastic. After your forest stroll, you'll have lunch and spend the remainder of the day unwinding. Dinner and overnight will be on the island once more.
